Questions You May Ask.
1. How Do I Practice Self-Care?
Looking After yourself should be your number one priority. You know I preach self-care like gospel on my blog.
I can’t overemphasis on the importance of looking after yourself. I will keep it simple in this discussion about self -care because I have written extensively on it on my self-care post.
This is an essential life skill which will help you to manage your mental wellbeing as well as your physical health.
Not everyone knows how to juggle work with family life and other life stressors.
understanding and mastering the art of self-care is so important because you develop a deeper healthy relationship with yourself which helps you to connects positively with others.

I hope this will help you reassess your self-care routine or even create one if you don’t have one.
2. How Can I Look After Others better?
Reaching out to others who may need your support requires you to be in a good place in terms of the state of your mind. Hence, my emphasis on self-care.
If you feel good about your self and coping well with life challenges. Then, you will have the energy and strength to support others who may be in need.
Whilst looking after others, know your limit and don’t take on more than you can accommodate. Don’t be afraid to say no when need to so you don’t burn out.
To become a better carer, keep these tips in mind when looking after others.
- Talk to those you are caring for to find out how best you can serve them.
- Listen to them. take into account verbal and non-verbal cues.
- Do what you say you will do and if you can’t meet up with the deadline. Just tell them!!.
- Be open and honest.
- Serve people as an individual. human being are unique entity so respect people’s individuality.
If you don’t have those immediate relatives or neighbours to care and feels the need to lend a hand. You can start volunteering in your local community or look at my resources page for local resources.
There is nothing more rewarding than giving back and adding value to humanity. It leaves you feeling fulfilled and happy ( most time for me).
3. What To Do If I Have Financial Problems?
As we are still in the middle of pandemic and people are hit with the loss of income and their business.
This is probably one of the major problem created by this Pandemic. People are concerned about the economy and how long this uncertainty would be as they have financial obligations to fulfilled.
if you are experiencing financial difficulties, do approach your creditors and explain your current situation and set up payment arrangement if you have means to.
Don’t ignore your creditors, it will only make things worse.
If you are unable to reach an arrangement with your creditors, Then liaise with a financial advisor for an advice.
There are charity organisations who may also support you to manage your financial worries.
4. Where can I get help if I am facing Homelessness?
A lot of people are currently facing evictions due to loss of earnings and state of things around the globe.
As we all know that facing homelessness or actually been homeless can impact every aspect of one’s lives.
So, If you don’t know where to begin, contact your local project team or the council.
There are several homeless charities around the globe, such as Centrepoint (UK), an extensive list in the USA and also in Canada. If I didn’t mention, I would encourage you research on the internet to find those closest to you.
5. Where Do I Get Support For Loss And Bereavement?
It is evident that several people have lost their lives as a result of this pandemic.
The worst of it all was that people weren’t allowed to be with their loved ones at their last moment or to even give them befitting funeral.
This, however, would make grieving difficult for those who have experienced bereavement in recent times.
So, if you are bereaved, endeavour to speak to someone about it. Counselling service is available in many organisation within your community such as GP, Health Providers, Religious organisation if you can’t afford it privately.
If you have experienced loss, do accept my sincere condolence.
I hope and pray you find peace and comfort.
6. How Do I Get Help With My Physical And Mental Health Condition?
If you are experiencing challenges in the area of your mental health or physical health, then speak to your general practitioner (doctor) or your health provider for support.
Don’t put it off until the symptoms get worse. The earlier you get treatment and support, the earlier you get better.
Delay may be fatal when it comes to issues of health.
I hope this post will give insight into how to address some of the life problems you or others may be experiencing.
